High back pressure foam makers are designed to make a fully aspirated foam against a back pressure of up to 40%. The PHB series of foam makers are typically installed in systems that inject aspirated foam directly into the base of a product storage tank(s) or into the product pipeline feeding a storage tank. The foam is delivered through the product directly on to the fuel surface.
In addition to subsurface injection to cone roof tanks, PHB foam makers are often used for dike protection in the event of a product spill. It is also suitable for use in marine applications for protection of specific areas and under docks.
PHB Type High Back Pressure foam makers are classified as Type II discharge devices in accordance with NFPA Standard 11.
