FoamCalc is a software program developed by National Foam to calculate the amount of foam solution and foam concentrate required to protect storage tanks. You can select the type of the tank, the area you need to protect, the fuel type you store, the equipment you want to use and the induction rate. The program calculates the required foam solution and the foam concentrate according to the NFPA 11 standard.
It is important to choose the right foam concentrate to maximise the effectiveness of foam system. It is also important to select a foam that has been approved with the equipment to deliver it.
